Oh man, I couldn’t get to sleep on Wednesday so I read the New Yorker article about the Titanic and then I couldn’t get to sleep because of the New Yorker article about the Titanic. The sound of over 1,000 people drowning and/or freezing to death apparently sounds like a swarm of locusts! Now you can’t sleep either. You’re welcome.
In what will surely be the 2012 story of equivalent magnitude, Tugboat Press’s Free Comic Book Day offering, Runner Runner, contains a new comic written by me and drawn by Damien Jay called “Tales from Leisure Cove.” Free Comic Book Day is May 5, 2012, so make sure to stop by your local indie-friendly store to get a copy! This story is actually a small peek into a longer graphic-novel-length story about a family of terriers in Florida that will probably never come to fruition (but if it did, it would also be written by me and drawn by Damien Jay). I have it all plotted out in my head, so be sure to ask me to tell you the story the next time you see me. That will be a great conversation. Comics are so much better when someone explains them to you and you don’t get any visuals, wouldn’t you say?
